Description:
OxisResearch™ is the oxidative stress research assay manufacturing division of Oxis International Inc. Oxis' target clients, medical researchers, evaluate citations describing previous related projects, and what materials were used, when planning new studies. Oxis wanted to provide them with easily accessible summaries of citations using OxisResearch™ products. Researchers would be able to request only those articles related to their project to minimize the number of results.

AbiTeq designed a MySQL database hosted on a Linux server on OxisResearch's website to upload and store the citations and there descriptors. Citations were labeled with key sorting variables to allow grouping. A PHP coded web form provides five pull-down menus to allow users to look for citations with research similar to their project. Since the citation page re-checks the database each time it is used, new articles are automatically displayed without the labor of manually editing any web pages.

Oxis staff can easily upload, edit or delete citations using AbiTeq's custom PHP Database Management web page.
